You’ve signed off, made your selections, and now it’s time for the moment you’ve been waiting for: installation day! This is where your vision starts to come to life—and at Mullwoods, we want to make sure the experience is smooth, exciting, and stress-free.
Who Will Be Installing My Cabinets?
Mullwoods has its own dedicated installation teams—highly trained, efficient, and detail-oriented professionals who treat your home like their own.
How Long Will It Take?
No two homes are alike, so installation timelines can vary based on factors like:
● Number of rooms
● Cabinet complexity
● How level/plumb your floors and walls are
That said, most kitchen installations take around two days. When you schedule your install, our Scheduling Coordinator will give you a more specific estimate.
Why Does It Take a Few Days?
Installing custom cabinetry isn’t just about attaching boxes to the wall. Our team carefully levels, squares, and fits each cabinet to your unique space—compensating for things like uneven floors or bowed walls. It takes time, but it’s worth it. You’ll get a flawless finish that lasts.
How Should I Prep My Home?
Before the team arrives, please make sure:
● The space is clean and free of debris
● All appliances are disconnected and removed
● Other subcontractors are not scheduled during the same time
Cabinet installation requires space—for tools, saws, and the cabinetry itself. Limiting traffic helps us work faster and more accurately.
Can I Be Home During Installation?
Absolutely! But we kindly ask that you give the installers room to work. This process is part science, part art—and they do their best work when not being watched too closely. Rest assured, you can inspect everything once installation is complete.
What Will I See During the Process?
It’s exciting—but it might not look picture-perfect right away. Some pieces (like cabinet doors) aren’t fully adjusted until the final stages. Trust the process! It may look “almost done” at times, but our team will be making adjustments right up to the finish line.
What If There’s a Problem?
It happens! We’ve installed thousands of kitchens over the past 40+ years, and we’re always ready to troubleshoot. If anything comes up, your installer will communicate with you and work with our team to make it right.
Do You Clean the Cabinets?
Our installers clean as they go and tidy the site each evening. On the last day, they’ll also use an air compressor to blow dust out of the cabinetry, if space allows. After that, you may want to do a final wipe-down before loading your new cabinets.
At Mullwoods, we know installation is one of the most exciting steps in your project. We’ll treat your space with care and precision—so all you have to do is watch your dream kitchen come to life.
